Kilroy-Silk Splitting The Splitters

Today I hear rumours that the orange-skinned Robert Kilroy-Silk is going to leave UKIP and form a new Euro-sceptic party called Veritas. As a voter who thinks that Kilroy-Silk is a complete twit and most of UKIP deserve to be slapped, I think this is a tremendous idea! Previously people who were gun-totting Euro-sceptic Daily Mail readers voted Tory. Then UKIP came along and started to steal the hard-core voters, scaring the Tories into complete pandemonium and rarely seen action. Now if Veritas actually exist, get funding, and take off, that vote could be split three ways. Of course the Tories have a rather predictable set of policies (Tories cutting taxes? Surely not!) so this should be quite an easy task... Brown for PM!

And even better, Veritas is a really bad name for a political party. It implies truth. Truth from Mr. Kilroy-Silk? What an improbable concept.

I must say that I don't see what the problem is with RK-S (a complete twit, truth, from K-S?). I've been aware of him for many years, only via his show, to be frank, but have always found him brutally fair and honest. Like Maggie Thatcher, a blunt talker, sometimes seems rude, cannot stand ignorant people who refuse to think, etc., etc., but what's wrong with that? Makes a change from spin and waffle and downright lies, laughing in people's faces whilst doing it (I'm talking the reason for going to war in Irak, they have officially given up looking for WMD, stating there were none, period). Say what you like about Maggie, but Britain is still rolling in the wealth she created by kicking Britain up the arse until it hurt. Her drakonian methods were needed, and worked. I believe RK-S could do the same. It's time honesty and transparency were introduced into British politics.
