Flapjack
This may be a little rash, but I have just knocked up the best flapjacks in the world. Never before have oats, butter, golden syrup, grated apple and a tiny pinch of cinnamon tasted so good.

Just had my first flapjack a few weeks ago when I was in Scotland for a holiday. I've never seen them here in The Netherlands, so... could I have a recipe please?

I grew up in Northern Michigan, USA. (Near Traverse City mostly.) Flapjacks were breakfast food often, and I did not realize that I was missing them until I read this.
I do believe that I will make a pile for breakfast tomorrow morning. Thanks for reminding me!

Note to Americans: I'm not talking about pancakes. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flapjack. :)

This is a controversial statement. A friend of mine makes flapjacks which make you groan loudly when you taste them (generally provoking some odd looks from people who don't understand). Do your flapjacks melt on your tongue? :)
Hmm... now I just want flapjack...

Didnt specify the data-type of the 3? Whats the 'and' operator do? GROAN..
Anyways. the flapjack you made....I think mine was pretty dam good to...Grape and Prune. Think we need a "Flap-off" competition???
How's the watery-slobbery other memeber of your household doing?

Let's have numerous amusing musings on the pedantic interpretation of "Add 4 and 2"....
Flap-off? Sounds disturbingly close to something else (and no, that something else does NOT involve a particular blend of chilled coffee).....Anyway, a flapjack compo sounds fabby, I'm up for it, but not until my demands have been met: Ross, you must send me a box of no less than 5 pieces of these flapjack so that I can test them for, um, well, no, I think I'll just eat them.
Or else.
