My hospital doesn't offer 3D ones, and I dread to think how much they cost if you go private. I'd love a DVD of the images, they are so much better when moving.

Wonderful! Survey pointed out that those 3D ones "might" be harmful for the baby because of the energy building up inside the womb and increasing the temperature.

@davidbe: I think you'll find that the 2d and 3d sonograms use the same technology which is non invasive ultrasound.

@Karl: You're right. It is the same technology. But during those 3D-sessions, the doctor tends to have a longer session than with those 2D ones. I had to elaborate more on that. (That's what I hear at the hospital where I work.)
