Tasks 0.3

Tasks 0.3 is out! The main new features are internationalisation and category filtering. A complete list of user-visible changes:

I also had a few translations:

Sources are available on the OpenedHand Projects site, and packages for Ubuntu Edgy, Ubuntu Feisty, and Debian Sid are in my repository. Adam Williamson has also packaged Tasks into Mandriva Contrib.

I'm packaging it for Fedora. It's awaiting a few fixes from me (now a version bump too!).

I get "Tasks (46)" in the title bar, so the categories feature is very timely! Thanks, I've been looking forward to this.

A few buglets:
1) I get double-ups in the categories drop-down in the task editor (but not in the main window)
2) (un)checking tasks makes no difference to the count in the title bar - shouldn't it only count unchecked tasks?

1) Very odd, as the same code produces those lists.  Can you replicate after quitting and restarting?  If so can you mail me your ~/.evolution/tasks/local/system/tasks.ics (that is where the tasks are stored, so you may want to edit a copy in emacs first and blank out anything private)

1) After restarting, the duplicates disappear. Creating a new category, closing task editor and reopening the task editor shows the duplicate until restart. Moving task.ics (ie: clearing it) makes no difference.
2) How about "Tasks: Category (<in progress in category>/<total in progress>)" as well as "Tasks (<total in progress>)"?

Some more feature ideas:
- buttons/icons right-aligned in each row: edit, website (or another object like a Tomboy note maybe), perhaps delete - a bit like the To Do List in netvibes.com
- show description in tooltip (GTK+2.12)

Drew: so that I don't forget and for sane commenting, please can you file bugs for any feature ideas?  http://bugzilla.openedhand.com/

Ross, do I understand correctly that in no near future will be possible to create tasks that will be visible by evolution?

What, no maemo packages? Count me disappointed ;-)

Yeah, come on, no maemo packages? :) Seriously though, I built it under bora scratchbox (after some modification of the source, e g. g_date_set_time_t -> g_date_set_time and g_atomic_int_set(...) -> task->ref_count = 1, hacky, I know ;), tried to run it, but then:

tasks[23552]: GLIB WARNING ** libecal - Cannot activate ECal: Unable to determine the address of the message bus
tasks[23552]: GLIB ERROR ** default - Cannot get system tasks
aborting...

This is kinda new to me so I'm obviously missing something :)

Would be great to have it on maemo though!
