Postr 0.9

A quick release of Postr fixing a few little bugs.

The tarball is here, and packages for Debian/Ubuntu are building now.

When you gonna add resize options on upload?  It's the one feature that the flickr uploadr for windows has that keeps my S.O. claiming that windows is cooler.

I love the app, just need one more feature.  Cheers.

Honestly I've never even considered that option because I upload full resolution photos.  Patches welcome!

Ross, I was also hoping for the resize feature (since it was in a TODO file), but since you're not implementing it, I'll give it a try myself.

Only problem is I'm very new at python, and pygtk...

Could you find the time to point me in a right direction: instructions on where to place the code for resizing, what python libraries to use, and whether implementing resizing in this stage of postr developement is a good idea are appreciated!

Cheers,
Petar

Just discovered postr in Ubuntu 7.10 - very nice, very Gnomish, not as complex as some of the other Flickr desktop apps I've tried.

One feature request: Licensing. I CC-BY-SA most of my Flickr stream, and it would be nice to be able to set that in Postr before I upload everything.

Thanks!

First:

Congrats, it is the best app for upload photos to flickr.

Second:

An error with "command line" installation [1]. I use the repository of ubuntu version (0.7) and install 0.9 by command line "sudo python setup.py install" and get this errors msgs.

Third:

Resize and CC license is a great idea.

Cheers.

So where can we get the .deb's?  I was guessing debian.o-hand.com, but no luck.  I'm running Gutsy at the moment and I seem to have postr 0.7 somehow.

Sorry for all the comments, but it turns out that deb doesn't work in gutsy.  The postr in debian requires a python version < 2.5 and Gutsy uses 2.5.

That would be because you are trying to install a Debian package built for Debian Sid onto Ubuntu Gutsy.  If Gutsy doesn't have the package you can either rebuilt it yourself, ask someone else to rebuild it, or wait for me to finally setup a gutsy build environment.
