Hey, Sorry to bother you, but I can't find where your docs are for Devil's Pie.  This looks like exactly the program I'm looking for, but I'm not sure how to setup the configuration file.  I've looked at man devilspie, but there's not a whole lot there (as was stated in there hehe).

Thanks

Hey!
Great application! One question though: How would I go about if I wanted to make a gnome-panel NOT change the constraints for windows? I've created a new panel, named it "Bottom", added a flurb for it  and tried various things like setting "above" to "false", the window type to "dock" etc. They all work, but whatever I try, I can't get windows to maximize over the new panel. Any ideas?

Metacity avoids putting windows over panels so you could try writing a new flurb to remove the DOCK attribute from the panel, or switch to another window manager.

Hm, doesn't work unfortunately. Apparently (http://freedesktop.org/Software/wininfo) the panel resets the window type to DOCK no matter what. However, I can make my media player a DOCK and set "above" to "false" and still maximize over it with Metacity.. weird.
