- Fix progress bar calculation (John Thacker, #339062)

Sound Juicer "Got A Brand New Bag" 2.15.2.1
Sound Juicer "Got A Brand New Bag" 2.15.2.1 is out. Tarballs are available on burtonini.com, or from the GNOME FTP servers. This is a brown paper bag release to fix the small translations problem: they didn't exist in 2.15.2.
Update:: rebuilt the tarball, this time it actually works.
OpenedHand World Domination Progressing Well
The plans for World Domination by OpenedHand are going well. So well infact that we need more help: we're hiring an Embedded Linux System Engineer and a Technical Project Manager. For more details, see the OpenedHand Jobs page.

More Threadless Goodies
Yet again I succumbed to the Threadless sale, and bought three new tees:
They are all very, very cool, although I am particularly loving The Outdoor Mix at the moment. I've finally managed to get a first-run tee too, Landline's Revenge.

JhAutoBuild
Thanks to the excellent JhAutoBuild, I discovered a problem in my recent Sound Juicer refactoring that even a make distcheck didn't detect, causing a build failure. It's now confirmed to be fixed, as another machine has just done a clean build. Sweet.
As thanks I'm contributing possibly the slowest build machine in the world: my LinkStation NAS box. It's a PowerPC running at about 100MHz, with 64MB of RAM. I hope I've got enough of the dependencies installed, you can follow it's rather slow progress here. 25 minutes in and it's still building the first module, libxml2. Go Melchett go!

UKIP U-Turn
Amusing news yesterday, as it's revealed that Roger Knapman, the leader of UKIP (a single-issue party who dislikes the EU, and basically wants to reduce, or remove, immigration), hires Polish builders to work on his country mansion. The bonus punchline: the builders are hired through a Polish-registered company that specialises in hiring eastern Europeans to work in Britian, which is run by Mr Knapman's son.
Mr Knapman, an MEP and the UKIP's leader since 2002, recruited the workers through his son, whose company specialises in bringing foreign labour to Britain.
The men have been at Mr Knapman's grade-II listed home in the village of Coryton, west Devon, for 11 months. They sleep dormitory-style in the attic.
The company run by Mr Knapman's son claims that the imported labour costs up to 50 per cent less than British workers would. Mr Knapman, speaking to an undercover reporter from The Sunday Times, praised the men as "they work so much harder".

Wanted: Dropbox
Wanted: a stand-alone, secure, simple file drop-box, that I can run on my external-facing machine and allow people to send me files. Ideally it would have a HTML forms based interface if someone does a GET /, but allow direct WebDAV connections to PUT files. Obviously deleting and so on should not be allowed, and all uploads constrained to a specific directory.
Any suggestions?

Oxford University Press
OUP rock my world. Thanks to a fantastic deal, the public libraries in England have shared the cost of a two-year nation licence for a range of their online resources. I just go to Oxford Reference, enter my library card number, and bingo: access to the full text of the OED, and much more.
